How it goes

Most image conversions take a few seconds. Bigger files take longer, and you can leave the page while they run.

  3. Check the details

    You'll see what will change in your file and how much of your daily allowance is left. Nothing happens until you say so.

  4. Let it convert

    You'll see each step as it happens. You can leave the page; the conversion carries on.

  5. Download

    Grab your file with a private link. We tidy up the originals for you afterwards.

We look inside the file, not just at its name
A photo renamed to .png is still a JPEG. We check what a file really is before you upload it, so you find out straight away instead of after waiting.

About your files

We only use your file to convert it. Nobody here reads it, and we don't share or sell it. Both the upload and the result are deleted automatically after a short retention period.

Every time you press Download you get a fresh private link that stops working after a few minutes, so an old link can't be passed around.

Questions people ask

Do I need an account?

No. You can convert and download without signing up. An account is handy if you want to find old conversions later. Occasionally a tool is limited to signed-in users, and its page will tell you.

How much does it cost?

Nothing. Every tool is free within its daily allowance, which is shown on the tool page. There are no subscriptions or hidden fees.

What happens to my files?

We keep them privately, use them only for your conversion, and delete them automatically after a short retention period. Download links are private and stop working after a few minutes. You can also delete them yourself at any time.

My conversion failed. What now?

The page will tell you what went wrong. If it was a temporary problem, there's a button to try again. If it keeps failing, contact us and tell us which tool you used.

Why was my file rejected?

Usually because it isn't quite what its name says (a JPEG renamed to .png, for example), it's damaged or password-protected, or it's bigger than the tool's limits. The message on the page says which one.

Can I convert something I didn't create?

Only if you have the right to. Please don't use the service for books or recordings you don't own. Our acceptable use and copyright policies have the details.
