The details
File checks
Before uploading, your browser reads the first bytes of the file to identify its real format and, for images, its dimensions, transparency and animation. This catches renamed or unsupported files immediately. Our server then repeats these checks — the server's verdict is the one that counts.
Allowances
Each tool has a free daily allowance, set per tool and checked by our server. You see it on the tool page before you upload. There is nothing to pay.
Progress
Conversions run on our servers in a queue. You'll see the stages our servers report, such as “Verifying” or “Converting”. We only show a percentage when the converter genuinely measures one.
Downloads and deletion
Each time you press Download we generate a new private link that expires shortly afterwards. Uploaded and converted files are deleted automatically after the retention period described in our privacy policy.
