Accessibility
Last updated 3 November 2026
We want everyone to be able to use DocType Switch. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA, and we check pages with automated accessibility tests as part of development.
What you can expect
- Every page works with a keyboard alone. A “Skip to main content” link is the first thing you reach, and focus is always visible.
- Pages use proper headings, landmarks and labels, so screen readers can navigate them. Images that carry meaning have text alternatives.
- Text and controls meet WCAG AA colour-contrast ratios in both light and dark mode.
- Pages reflow on small screens and when zoomed to 200%, without sideways scrolling.
- Animations respect your device's “reduce motion” setting.
- Every blog article has an audio reader, and the PDF to Audio and EPUB to Audio tools turn documents into speech.
Known limitations
- Advertising, when shown, comes from partners and may not meet the same standard. Ads are always marked and never placed inside the converter.
- The converted files reflect your originals; for example, a PDF made from an e-book doesn't include tags for screen readers.
