Welcome! Whether you need to make a photo smaller, read a PDF on your phone, transcribe a recording or listen to a book, you are in the right place. This guide gives you a quick tour of everything the platform can do, explains how a conversion works from start to finish, and helps you pick the right tool for your task.

What you can convert

Images (20 tools)

Convert between the most common image formats: JPG, PNG, GIF, WebP, AVIF, TIFF and BMP. Typical uses:

  • Make photos smaller for email or websites, such as PNG to JPEG or JPG to WebP.
  • Open images that your apps cannot read, such as WebP to JPG or AVIF to PNG.
  • Keep transparent backgrounds for logos with PNG and WebP.
  • Shrink animated GIFs with GIF to WebP, or turn animations into still images.
  • Prepare images for printing with AVIF to TIFF, or for older systems with BMP and GIF.

Documents (2 tools)

  • EPUB to PDF: turn e-books into printable PDFs with your choice of page size and text size.
  • PDF to EPUB: turn text-heavy PDFs into e-books that fit your phone screen.

Audio (4 tools)

  • Audio to PDF and Audio to EPUB: transcribe meetings, lectures, interviews and podcasts into text.
  • PDF to Audio and EPUB to Audio: listen to documents and books with a natural-sounding voice.

How a conversion works

Every tool follows the same simple steps.

1. Open the tool

Choose a tool from the home page, the tool directory or the image converter. Each tool page explains what it does, shows limits and daily allowances, and answers common questions.

2. Choose your file

Drag your file onto the upload area or tap to browse. Your browser checks the file before uploading: its real format, its size, and details such as image dimensions or audio length. If something is wrong, you find out straight away.

3. Review and choose options

After uploading, you see notes about what will change, such as transparency being filled in a JPG or colours being reduced in a GIF. Options appear where they make sense: quality for photos, page size for PDFs, language for transcription, voice and speed for narration.

4. Convert

Press the convert button. Most image conversions finish in seconds; documents and audio take a little longer. You can follow the progress through each stage.

5. Download

Press Download to save your file. For audio, you can listen on the result page first. The result page also lists what changed during conversion and how long the file will be available.

Choosing the right tool: quick answers

  • "My photo is too big to email." Convert to JPG, or JPG to WebP for websites.
  • "My computer cannot open this image." It may be WebP or AVIF; convert to JPG or PNG.
  • "I need a transparent logo." Use PNG or WebP.
  • "This animated GIF is huge." Convert GIF to WebP.
  • "I want to print an e-book." Use EPUB to PDF.
  • "This PDF is unreadable on my phone." Use PDF to EPUB, or PDF to Audio to listen.
  • "I need notes from a recording." Use Audio to PDF or Audio to EPUB.
  • "I want an audiobook." Use EPUB to Audio or PDF to Audio.

Guests and accounts

You can convert as a guest without signing up. Guest files are removed shortly after you download them, and the page starts fresh when you leave or refresh after downloading. A free account, created with email or Google, adds conversion history across devices and higher daily allowances.

Privacy, in one paragraph

Your files are used only for your conversion, stored privately, never shared or published, and deleted automatically after a short retention period. Download links are personal and expire after a few minutes. Hidden photo metadata, such as location, is not copied into converted images, and document and recording content is never written to logs.

What the platform will not do

  • Remove DRM from protected e-books.
  • Bypass passwords or copy restrictions on PDFs.
  • Read scanned PDFs, which contain pictures of text rather than real text.
  • Change a file's format just by renaming it. Every conversion genuinely re-encodes your file into the new format.

Tips for great results

  • Start from the best original you have. Conversions cannot add detail that is not there.
  • Read the notes before converting. They tell you exactly what will change.
  • Keep originals of anything important.
  • Use the right tool for the job, even if it means converting twice, for example resizing a photo before converting it.

Your first three conversions: a practice run

If you are new to file conversion, try these three quick tasks to get comfortable:

  1. Shrink a photo. Take a large PNG screenshot and convert it with PNG to JPEG. Compare the file sizes; the JPG is usually much smaller. Notice the note explaining that transparency, if any, is filled with white.
  2. Make an e-book printable. Download a free, public domain EPUB from a library such as Project Gutenberg and convert it with EPUB to PDF. Try 11 points, then 14 points, and compare the estimated page counts.
  3. Listen to a document. Convert a short PDF article with PDF to Audio, play it on the result page, and try a different voice or speed the second time.

After these three, you will have used every main part of the platform: images, documents and audio.

When something goes wrong

  • Read the message. Every error explains what happened, such as a file that is too large or a format that does not match its name.
  • Check the tool page for limits and supported formats.
  • Try again later if a tool is temporarily unavailable or you reached a daily allowance.
  • Start with a smaller or simpler file to confirm the tool works for you, then work up.

Where to learn more

The blog has a detailed guide for every tool, plus explainers on image formats, quality settings, transparency, EPUB versus PDF, transcription accuracy, accessibility and privacy. Each guide is written to be read in a few minutes, or listened to with the audio reader at the top of the article.

In short

Pick a tool, drop in your file, review the notes and options, convert, and download. Images, documents and audio all follow the same simple flow, with clear checks along the way and your privacy protected throughout. Welcome aboard, and enjoy converting.
